Often the disclaimers and notices are placed either in subatomic fonts and/or at a trivial place. I thought I would get that straighted out first!
'Any reference, citation, remarks made on any individuals is purely and truly not a coincident and is definitely not unintentional. Any deterioration to the quality of the language, grammar and typos are unintentional though '
How do you expect me to stumble upon names, references to any incidents which I never wanted to share with you..
This blog is not organized or harmonious in any manner what so ever, trust me (At least one time please)! I have tried penning down(should I say, keying in) my thoughts which flows in as I type this blog..so its a collage of my thoughts, expect it to be incongruent.
Thanks to the 'Opportunities' supplement, it was in my final year when I really came to know that there are lot more useful sections in a newspaper apart from the sports segment. The first day when I completed glancing through the whole paper, I piled them up haphazardly and was set to move on. Just then I heard a voice "Don't leave it like that, put them back in a way you would like it to be when you pick it for reading next time". That was my Dad. That was a simple statement, but I learnt a very important lesson that day - "Never do things to others which you don't want to be done to you!". From there on, my 'Never Do To Others' list has been growing and I must say, I have taken some actions to address the listed out things as well..
For an instance, I don't like to use the office toilet closets if its soiled or in case of spillage. Based on my NDTO lesson, I just ensure that I don't leave it in that condition after I use it!
This has also lead me to series of wishes to be added to that list and I'm trying to address them all. Just listing a few from the list:
- I don't like myself to be banged by the ODC/Restroom doors by someone from the other side!
- I don't like someone throwing used cans, dirts at me from a Bus as I cruise in parallel on my bike!
- I don't like people blocking my way from outside as I try to get out of the office elevator!
- I don't like to be disturbed by people answering their personal phone calls in loud voices at office!
What can I do to avoid such things being done to me? First thing first, I must ensure I don't do it to others. Newton said, every action has equal and opposite reaction. As for me, this translates to: 'I hit someone while opening a door, someone else is gonna hit me while they open the door someday!'. So, I just take extra care by knocking the door couple of times before I open it. Just to make sure that I don't hurt someone..
For a moment, I thought I should call my father a genius for elucidating Newton's law in such a non-complicated statement. But wait..this NDTO doesn't work always. I say, I don't like to be loaded with work.. So going by NDTO, should I not allocate works to me subordinates? Now I know, he ain't a Genius. He for some reason thought that I will be a good engineering professional..So, he is not always right! Perhaps he had a vision, vision about the safety of mankind. What if he made me a Civil Engineer? What if he made me a Medico? Imagine the plight of my customers/patients? May be thats why he thought that, me becoming a S/W engineer was perhaps the safest thing for mankind :)
Talking about Vision, I would call myself a visionary too! I have for some time (2 years to be exact) envisioned that release management is by itself dealt by two managers: "Sthanu/Prabhu - For Build/deliverable releases" and "Deepak/Sasi - For Resource releases" ;) And now Wipro is going in for a similar change across the organization(not exactly the same context though)..Am I not a visionary or atleast 'half visionary'?
Thats not just one thought which made me call myself visionary! I have few more..On my way to office, often I see posters boasting "T.Rajendar is speaking", "Kalaingar is speaking".. I say, whats the big deal? Where they dumb till date?
I wonder about few other such things as well..For instance, why can't a 'FULL' be 1000ml, why do they want to complicate things here?
If the Electrical energy fed into lights and fan are converted to heat and wind energies respectively, why can't we reuse those energies and keep the light and fan running continuously? After all, Newton said, energy can neither be created, nor destroyed!
Weird thoughts.. is it? Hmm, thats why my friends fondly call me NSNS.
Thanks for reading through this whole lot of Non-Stop Non-Sense..
